What should you consider before recommending or fabricating window treatments for a client?

In October's NUA webinar, window treatment specialist Kathy Geffen of Kathy Geffen Design joined moderator Claire Wright of Cosecha Textiles for a practical conversation about the many decisions behind successful window treatments.

From selecting fabrics and linings to choosing hardware, planning installations, and understanding how clients actually use their spaces, Kathy shared insights from her experience working with designers and homeowners.

She also introduced her PALETTE framework, a helpful way to think through client needs and explore the range of window treatment solutions available.

The discussion included real-world examples, questions from attendees, and a few lessons learned along the way.

Whether you're an upholsterer curious about expanding your services or simply want to communicate more confidently with clients about window treatments, this webinar offers plenty to think about.

Kathy Geffen is the owner of Kathy Geffen Design, a custom drapery workroom known for creating beautiful, highly functional window treatments, bedding, and soft furnishings.
